Alumni Heritage Fund
Continuing the Traditions of Mater Dei High School
The Alumni of Mater Dei High School have helped provide Financial Aid to children and grandchildren of MDHS Alumni for many years, but this past year was by far the most successful. The Alumni Heritage Fund (AHF) was created a few years ago to streamline the efforts of Alumni fundraising. This change paid off in a big way and the generosity of the Mater Dei Alumni Community was overwhelming.
Through the generosity of Mater Dei Alumni, $26,000 has been granted in Financial Aid to current Monarchs for the 2008-2009 school year. Thank you to everyone who has donated to the AHF. The Classes of 1957, 1964, 1977 and 1987 have donated the most to the AHF thus far, while the Class of 1962 has the largest number of class participants. Which classes will be represented this year? You may make your gift online or use the envelope provided in the Scarlet & Gray Magazine.
We hope to continue to grow this program in an effort to support the legacy of Monarch families for years to come. Each MD graduate is asked to give just $1.00 for every year they've been out of Mater Dei. If we all do our part, we could double the amount of Financial Aid for children and grandchildren at Mater Dei for the 2009-2010 school year.
